Dr. Bailey Joy Irvine

Dr. Irvine is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, with particular expertise in neurodevelopmental disorders, traumatic brain injury, and working with athletes.

Dr. Bailey Irvine provides neuropsychological, psychological, and psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. Her areas of specialty include neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., intellectual developmental disorder, autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and learning disorders), traumatic brain injury, prenatal drug/alcohol exposure, emotional disorders, internalizing concerns, anxiety, behavioral difficulties, trauma, substance use, complex medical disorders, and neurological disorders. She also has experience conducting research with the concussion and epilepsy populations.

Background

Dr. Irvine grew up in Hopkinton, Massachusetts (home to the start of the Boston Marathon) and is an accomplished equestrian. She enjoys working with athletes and is happy to call Athens, Georgia home. Dr. Irvine is a wife and mother. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, scuba diving, horseback riding, swimming, and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Education

She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology and community health from Hofstra University. She earned her master’s degree in clinical psychology from the New School for Social Research with a specialization in substance abuse. Dr. Irvine then earned her Psy.D. in clinical psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Washington, D.C. She completed her internship at Lakeview Specialty Hospital and Rehabilitation in Waterford, Wisconsin. Dr. Irvine was licensed to practice psychology in Georgia in 2019 and is a member of the Georgia Psychological Association. Most recently, Dr. Irvine became a certified ADHD professional (ADHD-CCSP) in 2021.
